I'm thinking of using FreeBSD for an embedded system project I'm working on with some friends.

    Between:
    • DragonFly BSD
    • FreeBSD
    • NetBSD
    • OpenBSD
Would you guys say FreeBSD is the most light weight?

    thanks!

I have used FreeBSD and NetBSD before and it seemed as if FreeBSD was the most light weight between the two. (I say this based off of the fact that I was compiling kernels and NetBSD had a ton of extra stuff being installed!)

I feel like after recompiling the kernel I could get OpenBSD pretty damn light weight. When I tried FreeBSD I couldn't get it as small without breaking required resources.
