I have a little story to tell. Back when I was 16 my dad got it into his head to block our internet connection at night, fair enough in retrospect, but at the time this was a grave injustice in my eyes and needed correction. So first I change my MAC address and local IP; doesn't work. Then I manually reset the router and try to make it look unaltered, dad catches onto that.
Then finally I crack our neighbors WEP and claim victory :)

In a few weeks I went from not knowing the difference between a router and a modem to cracking WiFi - now that's a learning experience.

I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2004. My MOS was 0651 (Data Network Specialist). That's when it all started for me. :)

Ever since I was really young, I wanted to play games online, use consoles that connected wirelessly etc. And I had to learn things such as port forwarding, mac addresses, ip addresses, types of network security etc. I am now working on going into computer networking :)

Well I just started learning about networking I think the only reason why I want to learn is because I know a lot about computers and it's time to learn something new.

Probably for me when I first got a wireless router. As the time nobody had Wi-Fi routers, I can still remember running around with a laptop using it in the weirdest places just because for once you weren't tethered to something Lol.

I started by being unable to paid for my Internet connection, not even my phone line, then I learned how networking works and was able to keep connected through the local area networks and cracked Internet connections, LOL

P.S. Even though, I'm actually paying my connection again in order to improve performance, but I'm always keeping an eye to prevent someone do what I did in the past ;)
