I have 3, free programs I use to edit my images:

    Paint dot net
    Photoscape
    Gimp

I'm wondering if anyone knows a free, image editor that I might come the closest to Photoshop? I can't afford Photoshop, so I understand it is probably ridiculous to think I can even get close, but it is important that I at least find the best free software I can.

Since I like to do some abstract with my "otherwise" plain photos, something like Gimp sounded very good. It so far seems difficult for me to navigate Gimp, and I also have to do the export thing after I have done what I want to my photo.

Just looking for some feedback. Thank you for anything you might suggest:)

You seem to be pretty on point with that. If you're really serious about photo editing and want something similar to Photoshop badly, just get Photoshop. It will be worth it in the long term to learn Photoshop, its a valuable skill to have.

Oh lord, I wish I could but it is beyond, wayyyyy beyond my budget;) I'll make do with what I have, but at the same time, I think a good tutorial on GIMP might help. There is a lot to that little freebie!!

    Thank you much!! Denise
