With the upcoming release of Steam OS and the growing support for games, Linux is becoming a good gaming platform. Linux and Ubuntu are gaining support left and right and I want to know if you guys think this is partly due to the growing popularity of gaming on Linux ?

This might be, but I think it's because the community is starting to evolve, and Canonical is really putting a lot of work into making Ubuntu popular, which helps increase the popularity of Debian, and the rest of the Linux in general. Gaming is, of course, another large part of that. People are seeing that Steam is bringing a lot of their games to Linux, and everyone wants to see what's going on, and it seems that most are liking it.
